  • Telephony voice AI — end-to-end phone agents on live customer lines: real-time speech-to-text, LLM reasoning and text-to-speech.
  • Multi-agent sentiment analysis — specialised agents scoring customer-review sentiment, fanned out in parallel for bulk uploads.
  • Multi-agent news writing — research, writing, editing and fact-checking agents producing publication-ready articles, with full observability.
  • Recommendations & price estimation — vector-search retrieval engines and LLM pricing models with confidence intervals.

Previously at FNB (FirstRand Group): lead developer of NAVI — the bank's multi-agent conversational GenAI assistant and fulfilment engine, live in production — and winner of an internal GenAI innovation award.

The road

Where you start does not determine where you finish. Mtuthuko's road runs from a township public school on the East Rand, through Wits mathematics, into banking's data floors, and out to the frontier of generative AI — carrying KwaThema with him the whole way.

  4. 2023Acknowledged in two Wits medical machine-learning studies on heart failure.
